Tatton Park

Forum 2005 held at Tatton Park. One of the interesting presentations was by Linda Milk on Greenhouse Restoration. How I restored my greenhouse by Linda Milk Background Information: Our greenhouse is the surviving Vinery section of a much larger Boulton and Paul greenhouse that was built about 1870. It is a ¾ span structure and was originally 32 feet long by 15 feet wide, by 12 feet high. It was sub-divided into two sections by a glass wall with an intercommunicating door between the display area, complete with tiered stands, and a Vinery. Forum 2004

West Dean Walled Gardens, Sussex

The 2004 Forum was held at West Dean Gardens, Chichester, West Sussex on 30th October 2004. The Network’s mission is to help in the conservation of Walled Kitchen Gardens by offering advice and support and by providing a forum in which experience and expertise can be shared. The focus of the Forum was on research, conservation and restoration – the essential first steps in bringing these gardens back to life. However, ensuring the sustainability of these gardens is equally important and there was a session of case studies from individuals speaking of their own particular experiences and approaches to sustainability. FIRST Forum, 2001. A seed is planted.

Hellens, Ledbury, Herefordshire

The late, lovely Fiona Grant, together with Susan Campbell organised the very first Forum for what was to become the Walled Kitchen Garden Network. That this meeting was needed has proved true as we have recently completed the 12th Forum in 2015. On October 13th 2001, Herefordshire College of Art and Design hosted a Forum on walled kitchen gardens, in order to bring together groups and individuals who shared a concern for the future of these gardens.
